AdvocateThis person is matched with a correspondent in the prison, with whom and/or for whom they advocate. This is a (at least) 10 hour per month commitment, as you will be responsible for moving a case forward

MentorUsually a legal worker familiar with advocacy in CA prisons. Supports advocates in individual cases, and supports in the initial trainings for advocates, and subject matter specific trainings.

PAN InternshipsPAN is currently seeking an administrative/law clerk and communications / social media interns. These internships are open to anyone over the age of 18. View the postings and how to apply here.

Medical MentorSeeking health care worker to review medical files, explains the situation to advocates, mentors, and correspondents, and writes medical advocacy letters.

Mail TeamVolunteer on an ad hoc or regular basis to support the Administrative Coordinator in processing mail (time commitment: as decided). This position pairs well with the Advocate position.

Training Team MemberOrganize subject matter specific trainings for PAN advocates and the larger outside the walls community. In the past trainings have covered topics such as, advocating for medical care in CDCR, understanding custody and classification designations (time commitment: as decided).
